When I was taking measurement before doing an (4bt) engine swap on my truck I forgot to take one angle measurement that would be very useful. Yes I'm not done, apparently changing your mind about parts mid swap and converting your truck to a popular manual transmission is not cheap.

Is the top of the engine (front to back) parallel to the frame rail where the engine cross-member is? So if you put an angle finder on the engine does that angle match the angle you get when the angle finder is on the frame rail?

I'm almost sure this is true? I do know about matching drive line angles (keeping them parallel), but it is easier when the weight of the engine is on the springs.

Thanks for your time and help.
