Just a friendly reminder to all you out there with power up devices. I had two trucks in this week with power up modules on them and they were almost denied the injector warranty because of it. We have a new GM warranty rep and he is going by the book. He said he would cover the repair just this once and that was only because of past practise from our other rep. What I am getting at is if you have to take your truck in for possible engine repairs of any type, you might want to remove all evidence of power up add ons. I personally don't care because as we all know, the injectors are going to fail regardless of the power up add on. I usually look the other way when it comes to the plug and play modules, but now that we have the new GM REP, we have to be a little more careful.

Happy Trucking!! :D

That's something I don't understand. Well I guess I do understand it just comes down to either laziness or ignorance. Most of the electronic mods are SO easy to remove, you'd think a guy would do it rather than risk it or put the Tech in a position of having to lie. I guess this just gives them an excuse to use the word "stealer" when they get the warranty denial and $4000 estimate or bill....

Yeah, there are dealers that are denying warranty for a blown up Allison and differentials because of the power up devices as well.

LOL - I have noticed a correlation between those who mod their trucks, run B100, propane, ketchup injection, etc. and those who use the 'stealership' word. :p

Funny. I have been guilty of the same...but the more I run these trucks, the more apt I am to leave them bone stock, at least through the warranty period.

After that, I try to improve on what little is left on the table by the factory engineers, who have gotten it mostly right on these trucks!!!
