DB2 Pump question...

Hello..

I've got an 85 Suburban K20 4x... with a N/A 6.2 J code.. I bought a DB2 pump off of ebay a while back with little knowledge about the different models. The model I bought is a DB2- 5436. Can anyone tell me if this pump will work with my truck or can it be made to work (adjustments)?

any help would be greatly appreciated !!:confused:

The info I found on your pump is 1994 P and G series vehicles (170hp rating)
It should bolt on and work ok as far as compatibility.

There is literally a metric buttload of different IP numbers for the DB2.
The different numbers in many cases have to do with emission settings in the different applications.

My guess is that the 5436 was a 6.5 pump. The reference I got was not specific as to what engine but only the truck model class.

If the IP was or is in good shape and was for a 6.5 expecially if it was turboed may make the little 6.2 smoke a little when your boot is on it.

Unfortunately I cant give you more specific info than this.
