On the left front of the exhaust manifold is a bracket for the A/C. Does that bracket mount directly to the manifold with londer bolts? Or do thoes bolts have studs on them? My guess is with longer blots not studs? would rather not guess and have to jack up the motor later when I get the rest of the A/C stuff.
Thanks, Jim

Are you referring to the forged (cast iron looking) bracket? If so, it mounts directly onto the manifold, with long bolts (no space between the manifold and bracket). One or more of these bolts may have stud heads, but that depends on the year model, and accessory options. The studs on the stud head bolts do not secure the bracket.

That is the one. Do you know if the threads will be metric or SAE?
Thanks,
Jim

Metric.
After you get the bracket and compressor on and tight, check your pulley alignment. If it's off any (as little as 1/16"), or not square with the block, it'll eat belts at a much higher rate.

Thanks. Hopefully all the belts run true (good luck) I am getting close! I will post my build in the conversion section.
