Can't time

I have a 99 6.5L that I can't get timed or set the correct TDC Offset. The injection pump and PCM have been changed. It runs great until 170 deg F. Desired and Measured are the same, then at 170 and the time set is attempted the van dies, when restarted it will run like crap. The TDC offset can't be reset as well, with the same results when tried. If the van cools again, it will run fantastic.

Some hints, tips or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Try advancing the pump. Sounds like the base timing is too retarded to allow the engine to run.

Got the problem solved. Found that the wastegate solenoid connector was not connected firmly. After taking care of that then it was a matter of getting it to temp. again and setting the timing.
