View Full Version : Lift pump fittings
Not sure if this is the best place to ask this question, but... Are the fittings on the stock lift pump SAE (45 deg) or JIC (37 deg). I'm trying to get all of my bits together for the WVO conversion. Want to have the truck down for as little calender time as possible.
Thanks.

You will need to convert to o-ring fitting if you are using -an fittings.
Look at this link
http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?Ntt=16mm+x+1.5+o-ring&searchinresults=false&Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1&N=700+4294924496+4294839052+115&x=32&y=5
Not sure, but I don't think the pump has o-ring type fittings. I think it's just a flared line with a tube nut. I'm going to use the original pump for the diesel from an add on 22g tank in the bed and the main tank will get the WVO and a new pump. Want to keep all of this as clean as possible so adapting to the existing fuel lines will keep it neat.

I just realize that you got a 93 so you are talking mechanical lift pump not the in-line electric pump, correct?
I think it is the 37 degree with a double flare.
It is a '93 but it is a TD and does have the electric pump. Do all the electric pumps use o-ring fittings?
Thanks.

AFAIK the OEM electric inline pumps use o-ring fitting.
Auto parts store carrys a fitting that has the correct thread and flat on end,
I Installed a home made gasket between the flat surface and pump, works well.
I used a old style Sink facet washer with hole enlarged.
