Does anyone have an a/c wiring diagram? My truck has all the components but does turn on. I would like to check the voltage at all the points but need a wiring diagram. Thanks

What year and model is your truck? If it helps, there is a wiring diagram at the "truck stuff pics" link in my sig. It's for 1985, but is similar to many surrounding years.

It is a 1983. I will check out the pics. Thanks

Update...
I checked out the pics but cannot read any of the information.

You have to enlarge them. They are poor scans, but high resolution. The originals I have are no better.

Most of the A/C wiring is on page 5-43.

Says photos can only be saved to friends and I don't want to download the software if I don't have 2. Can u e-mail me the scan? Thanks

You should be able to view them full size, then save them to your computer (right click on the image, then select "save as").

I'll just send the originals to your email. PM me if your email has changed since signing up here.

Your email box is full.

I uploaded the diagram pages to the Photo Album (http://www.thedieselpageforums.com/photopost/index.php), under my username.

Thanks...
I don't know why my e-mail would say it is full?!?!? O well

I did get them saved and hopefully the truck sells before I even get a chance to figure it out. Thanks again

I don't know. The files are about 200K each, and it wouldn't even accept one at a time. Perhaps a setting in your mailbox options. Oh, well. Glad you finally got them.

If the system is low on freon the low pressure switch shown in the bottom picture will not allow the compressor clutch to engage. You can jump the connectors inside the round black plug and the clutch should engage. Try this with the engine not running you can here it. First thing is to check for the right amount of Freon. Try these web sites for more info.

Are these still good for my 1988?

Are these still good for my 1988?

It depends on the body style. If you have the earlier body style (82-87), they should be, or at least close enough for diagnostics. If the later body style (88-98), then no.

I was looking and it does seem a bit similar. I was trying to trace my dim headlamp /parking lamp problem.

I was looking under the dash yesterday when I noticed a brown wire hanging when it looked like it should be plugged into a plastic connector.

The diagram here shows a brown wire going from parking lamp to light switch.

According to this diagram, the wiring for the head lamp & parking light do not meet until they reach the switch.

Hope I am getting close.

Anyone here got a wiring diagram for a 1988 Suburban then?

Thanks for the reply
