Not sure where to post this?

The temperature reading on my compass has become very eratic - temperature jumping around and reading wrong - sometimes reading as much as 70* off. It is reading too low - meaning outside temp might be 70* and it shows 20*, 0* or even -xx*.

Can someone start me in the right direction? What all is involved in the circuitry? Does the sensor (on the front of the radiator) go directly to the mirror, or does it go through some kind of module or the ECM?

I don't think there is anything wrong with the mirror since when I look in it I can still see a reflection......:p:p:p

A week after your post:

Tried recalibrating it?

IIRC these mirrors are made by Gentex ==> http://www.gentex.com/automotive.html

Maybe these folks can assist or you may dig up some info on the mirror.

It may have a bad wiring ground (wiring diagram here ==> http://www.pickupspecialties.com/Mir...passmirror.htm

It looks like it's a simple 2-wire direct to the compass. That gives me a starting point - thank you.
