What's the quickest & easiest way to install the cam & crank sprockets on an engine that's had the crank out and crank position disturbed upon reinstallation? This is on a job at work where the boss got impatient on one of my days off and told someone else to get the crank out for shipping to the machine shop about 1/2 hour before he (the other guy) had to leave, so nothing was marked with its initial position. I'm almost 100% certain the cam wasn't moved so I should be able to offset the cam sprocket 2x the number of teeth that the crank sprocket is off from timing mark lineup, right?
After the crank & cam are lined up, I rotate the crank 360 and line up dots on the cam gear (12 o'clock) & IP drive gear (6 o'clock), correct?
