The drivers door on my '97 truck is not quite aligned right. It shuts hard and its wearing the top off of the stud that the door latches to. Is there any way to adjust the door or latch to allow it to align properly. It appears that the door is hanging a little low if you look at how it aligns with the roof line.
thanks
Chris

as the doors are glued on (another great gm idea) the only other thing is the hinge pin bushings which thru time do wear out pretty simple fix just a pain in the butt to do.you can get the pins and bushing from either gm or local parts store.

Insert a 2by 4 piece of lumber into the lower hinge assembly GENTLY close the door with the piece of wood in the hinge this will drive up the bottom of the door.Cheapest fix out there.

Take a good look at the hinge bushings. When they wear out the pin can break. If the pin takes out the hinge mounts now you have to cut the mounts off with a sawzall and remount with bolts. This was not one of GM's better ideas.

The pins and bushings are easy to R&R.
