I'm having the local dealer put one in for me. They're charging me about $1,000.00. Is this price fair? I called and found out the regulator itself goes for $450.00. How long does this take to install. Should I just do it myself?

Not sure what it takes to install. I had one put in about a month ago and it set me back $802.00...Look the part up on GMPARTSDIRECT and see how much it cost...

holy sh!t man!!! I put them in in my driveway in about an hour!! According to Alldata, cust pay time is 4.2. Too bad your aren't closer.

I think GM list price is about $350 or so for the regulator alone.
