That's not unique to the 4L80E, TH400 and TH350 both have the same after market offerings. I just makes up for a worn housing like it says. When they are in spec your fine. You just use this part to fix a worn case.

That's good to know. Wonder if trans shop would do this fix or try selling you a new case :eek:
If this type of fix is out there, it would be a need to know if any one would come across this problem ;)
