I'm looking for a recommendation on a brand and source of a good, heavy-duty torque converter for my 700R4.
Dr. Lee told me several years ago which one to use, and now I can't find that info...
Thanks!

Casey,
Another DP member told me some years ago to go straight to the source, ATC. They distribute transmission parts mostly to transmission shops but seemed more than happy to sale out the door to the public. We had one here in Charlotte but it seems like they changed names to Axiom Automotive Technologies, if my feeble mind serves me correct. I just looked it up in the phone book. I purchased a HD version for police/taxis, believe it or not, with the lowest stall speed based on his recommendation. I could find the receipt for more details if you want, just let me know. It's been in the Sub for about 5 years now with no problems.

Thanks. I already placed an order with Phoenix Transmissions. We'll see how it works out!

I installed my new torque converter from Phoenix Transmissions last night. I'm really happy with their product and services. Tranny shifts great and the lock up works perfectly again. I also installed a new TCC solenoid, filter, and new diesel governor while I was at it.
