Manual locking hubs

Is it possible to have manually locking front hubs without converting to a rigid axle on a GM truck these days?

I'm also curious about this because i keep seeing kits available for Jeeps, Dodge and Ford pickups but nothing for IFS Chev/GMC trucks......

The way that GM sets things up with the central axle disconnect system, the axle shafts always engage the hubs. The other mfgs that you mention have "automatic" hubs that still disengage the axleshaft at the hub - so it is a simple matter of replacing those with a manual hub.

But to do this on the GM setup you'd have to re-engineer the hub assembly and the kit would end up costing more than most people would be willing to pay because it is replacing more parts.

I haven't looked at the assembly closely enough to tell you if you could swap other components in that would allow you manual hubs.
