Compass / Temp rear view Mirror

I have an 01 D Max extended cab. The truck did not come with a compass / temp rearview mirror. I have purchased a correct used mirror that came with the pig tail which matched mine. I have installed the mirror and am getting wierd displalys. My compass when it changes reads either SW to SE. Under that it displays OC. Does anyone have any ideas?

You need to calibrate it. Drive really slowly in tight circles. You usually need to make about 6 to get it to go. It should go. It may still be off because you might not have the correct zone but without the book you won't know what zone to pick.
