Saw this at a car show over the weekend. 1957 Nash Metropolitan with an Isuzu diesel, & Asian automatic transmission. The owner did not know much about it as he bought it converted. He said it got 60mpg, but he did not seem too sure. It was a nice conversion.

About 1967 Spring Break at New Port Beach I saw one of those little Metropolitan's, same color except it was about 3 feet off the ground and sported a built shiny Chevy Orange 327. Would leap on command! I don't think he was to sure about his millage either!

It looked like a good install. I would clean up the wireing a bit though.

My grandmother had one of these in the 1950's. I'd like to see some of the guys here driving one.... :D

Got a 58 sitting in my garage as we speak. It's a someday project, curently in daily driver status.
