I was wondering if anyone would know if I can fit 265/70R15 tires on my 1996 2wd 1500. The 30-9.50-r-R15's that are on it are just not big enough when I drive in soft sand. The front sinks (thanks to the 6.5 !) and the back wheels dig in. I want to get some bigger and wider tires, but dont want to have to lift it any and loose mpg due to drag. Any input would be helpful. I have a buyer for the tires I have, and he is getting anxious to get them, so I need to find some new ones soon !!!

Its always sank in sand till I got the 285's

What size 285's did you get ?? I wonder how much more clearance there is on a 4wd than my 2wd. I want to go as big as I can without lifting.

I checked out the tire website. It doesnt tell if a given tire will fit a stock vehicle though.
