How can I mount 16" 6 lug wheels on my 1/2 ton 1990 GMC diesel Suburban 2 WD, which has 5 lug hubs. Do the 6 lug axles fit in the rear axle? How about the front hubs, Do the 6 lug hubs fit the spindles and bearings? I hope someone has some info. Thanks, Nick

You'll have to replace the front hubs and rear axles. Cost prohibitive, even if you get real nice wheels for free. It's cheaper to get a new set of 5 lug wheels.

My idea is to get taller wheels that give me a bit more ground clearance and thinner tires as well. I can get the parts from "Pick n Pull".
