My Suburban was running perfect until 3 weeks ago when it sprung and oil leak, seized up and died (improper Amsoil oil filter line installation by a garage). Anyway, it had 289,000 miles but an enormous number of aftermarket upgrades and heavy duty stuff on it, as well as new tires.I am not sure about putting another motor in it because of the expense, then I have to worry about the transmission, T-case, IP and stuff like that. If anybody in the vicinity of western NC has an interest in this vehicle for either parts or rebuild let me know.
Here is a list of a few of the things it has:
SS diesel supply FSD cooler and 6' extension cable
Kennedy dual 180 degree thermostats and special calibration fan clutch
Banks 3 inch turbo downpipe and 3 inch exhaust pipe
New Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S 265/75/16 tires
Amsoil dual oil filter relocation kit with Canton Racing 90 degree adaptor
Trailer hitch
New glowplugs
Injectors 3 years old
K&N air filter

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but.... how much do you want for her?

I would hate to do it as a last resort, but if I cannot locate a reasonably priced engine I will have to dispose of the vehicle one way or another. Also I cannot go all summer without
transportation. It has at least $5000 in parts and tires alone plus what you could get for scrap metal at the car crusher. Here some other things it has:
Odyssey red top batteries
4 headlight high beam wiring kit
Nearly new radiator
Nearly new fuel filter
Pioneer stereo/CD with Clarion subwoofer
Rear wheel spacers
Front braided stainless steel brake lines
Front wheel bearing assemblies ( around $1500)
Ramsey tow truck front bumper with 8000 pound winch (around $1500 as well)
New MOOG inner and outer tie rod ends
Nearly new idler/Pitman arms and front end suspension parts
Monroe shock absorbers
Custom/ homemade heavy duty rear leaf springs
I would have to clear $5000 to let it go, but you could get your investment back and make a
tidy profit by selling the parts on the forum classified boards or Ebay, then crushing the carcass.
