I was curious if anyone on this forum has used this product on there 6.5TD TorqueUnloc Kit (http://www.usdieselparts.com/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=56975) I am looking at it for my 93CC C3500 2WD with 6.5TD/4L80E/3.42's At light throttle with just the truck I think it would improve the economy of the truck. When running with my #3000 truck camper in the bed and towing our #4300 jet-ski trailer, I don't think it would be good to run it other than in stock mode, however.

The 3.42's did help my mileage when loaded with the above (approximately 15k CGW), going from low-to-mid 9 mpg (with the 4.10's) :( to low-to-mid 12mpg running the same roads/speeds smile.gif

I think for 4.10's, this torqueloc would be even better, as you could leave it locked up over a wider range of speed.

Just wondered if anyone had any experience with it that they could share with me before I spend $300 ;)

See the article in the members area titled, BD TorqLoc Electronic Torque Converter Lock-Up Control (http://www.thedieselpage.com/reviews/torqloc.htm) for more information. Also, see the threads "Significant improvement in towing performance!" (http://forum.thedieselpage.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=005059) and "BD TorqLoc - Electronic Torque Converter Lock-Up Control" (http://forum.thedieselpage.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=004863) for some discussion of the subject.

I use the TorqLoc while towing and it works well. Common sense should rule the day.
