Looking at installing electric lift pump on my M1009. Will I benefit by installing a oil pressure switch to control the pump,as on the TDs?

You need a way to automatically shut the pump off if the engine quits. This is a required safety feature, in case of an wreck or fire. The oil pressure switch is a convenient way to do it on an engine with no ignition system.

www.kennedydiesel.com has an electronic solution, with no OPS. Wiring only, no plumbing, and it maintains the safety shut-off feature.

Couldn't find harness on Kennedy's site, sent email, awaiting reply. Otherwise will start on fab for harness

Thanks. However, the harness does have an OPS. I have the harness and pump sitting at my feet as I had a pressure question posted in the 6.5 forum. I will probably use the kennedy harness on the 6.2 as my 97 has the relay as OE.
