I have a 94 6.5 in a truck set for a year. I put treated new fuel in it and it starts hard cranks for about 30 seconds. starts harder then i think it should . i am new to GM. where sould i start? THANXS
First give us more info on truck, model, engine code (8th digit of vin),mileage etc
Does it turn over fast enough, a diesel needs to spin. min 100rpm cold, 200 rpm hot, if not check all battery connections including starter and grounds, check batterys, and starter
Are glow plugs working, each glow plug should draw between 10 and 15 amps, does it run alright when it first starts or does it run rough for a few seconds
How much have you used it, may just need to be driven some
Compression?????
Try and give us more info, makes diagnosis easier
Good luck
Ron
