Cam/rotor problem, very intermittent. Has done it twice in 6 months. Stalls out when the code is set. Freeze frame displays 8 cam references missed, but it will restart and it seems like the timing goes out of whack for a second or two when it starts up.

Read a tsb stating that this can be caused by air entering the fuel system? Has anyone had expeirience with this??

No one has had issues involving this code? Please dont tell me I'm the only one :o!!

Air in the fuel can interfere with the optical sensor. Also, the "optical filter" in the line ging to the PCM can act up. Remove it for testing purposes.

Like most EFI issues, dirty connections, bad grounds, etc all are suspect as well.

Or, the optical sensor could be heading south.
