how much boost?

just put one of kennedys boost valves on my 01 dmax and i was just wondering how much boost i should be getting? i was getting 20 pounds from the stock setup.thanx

Not sure if I understand the question...do you have gauges? You can dial in whatever you want with the boost valve. I experimented alot with mine, found a setting that seemed to compliment JK's economy tune, and left it.

Its makes ~28psi peaks with a light/moderate foot and loaded 10K trailer in tow, less when unloaded.

You might set overboost codes at this level with stock 2001 programming, causing the SES light to illuminate. In that case - and if you don't have gauges yet, turn it up gradually until you get codes, then back it off until you don't... :)

i have a digital boost gauge and a stock truck. got 19-20 pounds boost before now i'm getting 22-23

Sounds okay, without any additional fueling. Do you plan to run the ECM tune as well?

eventually i will but the next thing the truck needs is a transfer case.the wife is driving it back and forth to work and i'm using the lbz to tow everyday.luckily the head gasket leak on the lb7 isn't as bad now that its warmed up no signs of antifreeze in the oil.she's got 220000 on her now and almost all those miles are towing so she needs some work
