I have a 98 with somewhat of a unique exhaust system. It is the factory pipe but the previous owner cut out the cat and muffler and replaced those sections with pipe that is 1/8 to 1/4 in diameter smaller than the original pipe. My question is: will I see much performance boost from a 3in downpipe wrapped in header wrap to mated to a 4in exhaust with a muffler, and will going with a 4in staight pipe be much louder than the straight pipe I have now? .......I kinda like loud stuff......
