How often should I change mine out on a Duramax that is installed in the exhaust manifold before the turbo? I do not want to ever risk it going through the turbo after it is aged..

Has this happened to anyone? Should I be concerned?

The same probes are used to measure turbine (turbo) inlet temperature on aircraft piston engines. Measured temps can exceed 1600 degrees. I have never heard of a turbo damaged by one.
