My original plans were to use the 6.2L Diesel ("599" block) that is in my 1993 GMC 3500 van to repower my 1986 Grand Wagoneer.
Back in December, I bought a nice 1982 J10 to replace my POS 1999 Grand Cherokee.
My J10 is much nicer than my Wagoneer.
I am just sitting here thinking here about fuel economy.
Turbos force more air and fuel into the engine, so I am guessing that a 6.2 that had a Turbo added or a 6.5T would drink more fuel than an naturally aspirated engine.
So, if I were to change my plans to repowered my J10 to improve its fuel economy to be a Daily Driver, no serious towing, with 3:31 ratios front and back, do I want to think a Turbo?
Should I look for a 6.5?
