replacement crate engine for dmax?

So, if you wear a duramax out (however long that takes), does anyone know who makes a bulletproof crate engine that's beefed up and ready for some high power mods after you drop it in? I've considered this instead of trading my 2002 dmax in for a 08 dmax.

The Duramax 6600 cylinder bores are induction hardened, which is supposed to provide the a wear resistance similar to a steel cylinder liner. I'd like to know what the cylinder taper is in these engines after 200,000-300,000+ miles. These engines are rated for 200,000 miles with a 98% reliability (engine mechanical).
