This may be a stupid question, but:
I frequently drive all week and never get to 2,000 rpm. I'm very light on the throttle and jack rabbit starts aren't in my bag of tricks. Even when I go to the lake on weekends, which is frequent even in the winter, I never get to 2,000 rpm for the entire 450 mile round trip.
The only time I ever see 2,000+ rpm is when I'm towing which isn't often this time of year. With this being said, how would I even know I was in Limp Mode? Is there a code or message that will show in the DIC? Of course I could punch it occasionally just to see. Hmmmmm, Maybe this isnt' such a bad idea when I have a Ford of Dodge behind me.
