Yep, thats how it was on my new 94 when I picked it up. But that PMD was not in use, and it has a brand new IP and PMD in the stock location....

the saying " A LITTLE KNOWLEDGE IS A DANGEROUS THING" Who ever did it must have done some reading or hear something about 'Remote mounting of the PMD / FSD'.
Probably tryed it and then found out that it didn't work, and po poed any one that said remote mount was way to deal with issues of the PMD / FSD.

Chief;

Do you still have the bad
PMD?

If so, may I buy it from you?

Thanks

Joe

Well, I am not sure yet it is "bad", as it was not connected when I got the truck and the entire IP had been replaced.

It was a homemade extension harness as well with some horrible crimped leads!

I have an extension cable coming so I can remote it properly, and after that I will try this one and see how it works. If it does, I will keep it as a spare, if it does not, it is all yours.

Are you trying to replace the two big transistors in them?

More than those, Chief.

Waiting to hear how it does for you with the new cable.

Thanks

Joe
