I happened to be at the Jet transmission website and saw they have their aluminum transmission pans on closeout for $99.95. Just thought I would pass it on. Click Here (http://www.jetchip.com/products.asp?pid=14476) for info.

Hi Bobbie, In your opinion - is this a better route than say increasing the size of the cooler? or should this pan be added and cooler size increased?
Kind Regards ... Rick

You are probably asking the wrong guy for that info. However, I would say that if you don't really have trans overheating problems and want a little insurance, go with the pan. Adding extra fluid will lower the trans temp. If you tow heavy loads, you probably need a bigger cooler. But having the extra fluid wouldn't hurt in either case. If you get any measurable cooling benefit from the alum vs steel pan, I can't say.

My Experience:30 degrees drop with B&M alum pan.

Also takes longer to heat up fluid, VERY satisified

The pan came today. Its a PML (http://yourcovers.com/tp_9167.shtml) pan. Looks nice, but its plain aluminum. I may get it powder coated before I install. FYI, they ended up charging $311 for the pan. I called and they said it was a computer pricing error and gave me a credit, so all is OK, but I would double check your credit card statement if you ordered!
