I am looking to upgrade my worn out factory cloth seats to either leather or vinyl,if they make vinyl captains.Has anyone done this or do you know anyone who has them for sale.I plan to search local junkyards, and would like to keep it on the cheap(under 600?).It is an extended cab ,but dont care about the bench.

Have you tried looking into a local auto interior shop? I don't know pricing off-hand, but I know a few people that have changed cloth into leather and were very happy.

I know this is for 2000up, but check ebay often. There are many factory leather covers that zip right onto your seats.

Find the seats you like from another GM vehicle and MFG the brakets to bolt them in. Did that with my drivers seat and love it, was'nt going to pay big to fix power seat problem. Most GM power seat connections are the same.
