1970 gmc with 6.2 diesel

I have a 1970 gmc i have owned for almost two years. Well when i bought it it was a 1970 gmc flatbed 2wd with a striaght six.I bought a bed for it. Last spring/summer/fall i pulled it off that frame. Bought a 1976 gmc truck tore it off that body and put the 1970 gmc back on it making it a 1970 gmc 1/2 ton 4x4 350. Well i tried to sell it and no one wanted to pay what i was asking. I looked around and wanted to trade it for a 6.2 diesel something.I had a 1984 chevy 6.2 diesel 4x4 and love the truck but i sold it. 3 months ago i bought me a 1993 chevy with a 6.5 turbo diesel and love it. It is my daily driver. Well i have come to the conclusion i'm going to pull the body and do body work to it. Buy me a 3/4 ton chassis and build me a 6.2 diesel with a banks turbo on it. What do you guys think? Any big problems? Advise? Pics below.

There was an article in the first MAXXTorque i got last saturday about a '71 that someone had done the exact same thing. Well minus the banks turbo, the '71 was N/A. It looked good and didn't appear that hard to do, good luck and keep us informed with pic's of the project in process. Good stuff.

I have a simular idea... '68 GMC cab and front clip, '84 6.2 w/turbo, 700R4/NP208, one ton axles, '70's short bed frame, not sure what's gonna happen with a bed yet, rollin' on 40" boggers... gimme about 2 years, the ol' K-5 Blazer is ragged out good, drive train will find a new home, and a classic look of the older sheetmetal... shortbed frame will have a little more hill-friendly wheelbase for an off-road truck/playtoy.

I couldn't look at your pic's, dial-up is for the birds...
