As much as I hate to do it, I've decided to part with my very nice 82 shorty (time to start saving for a dmax!)
I have owned it for about 2 years, 4th owner I think.
The truck has no rust as it was always a California truck until I bought it.

The specs (I try and post pics. soon):
82 Chevy C10 (2wd) 6.2 Diesel
Approx. 165K miles
White exterior, navy blue interior
Silverado Package
700R4 4spd automatic overdrive
3.08 Rear End Gear Ratio
20-23 mpg, typically
Has Rear Wheel Disc Brake Conversion (I have the orig. drums)
'Swanger' Air Cleaner mod. (fits 2 3" tall air filters) (I have the orig. assembly)
J Code intake manifold (non EGR) from 82 truck (I have the orig. C intake)
85+ Glow plug controller with AC 60G glow plugs
Dash is actually from 87 truck (wiper switch on turn. sig. stalk)
SGS Frigette Vacuum Cruise installed (uses stock mult-funct. turn lever)
Factory 87 intermittment wipers installed
Bedliner
Sliding Rear Window
Blaupunkt Radio/Casette with aftermarket speakers
Wheels from 90's 2wd Chevy/GMC Suburban/Pickup (I have orig. rallies)
Newer paint about 4 years old.
Previous owner rebuilt trans., rear end, replaced head gaskets, rebuilt Inj. Pump, new injectors, rebuilt front steering just before I bought it - probably only has about 30K on these items.

Overall, a very tight and mechanically solid truck for its age.

This truck is very fun to drive and a good highway cruiser with the higher gears. Hate to do it, but...

Price: $5,000

Here's some pics.- one shows it with the original ralley wheels when it was in California, before I bought it.

Also, I forgot to mention it has power windows and locks, and a large ISSPRO Tach. where the fuel gauge is normally.

Thanks.

Sweet truck!

My '82 is white too, so that would save on insurance!

Racing season at the strip is starting next up in the next two months, so I'm spending there. Would look good pulling the other '82 to the strip (less than 10 miles).

3.08 and 700R4 should give the truck a real nice top end speed.

Definitely does - it loafs along at about 1,900 rpm at 75 mph.

It actually stays in o.d. pretty well also, only downshifts on fairly steep hills.

Bump.

Price is negotiable.

Thanks!
