My 6.5LTD Suburban K2500 is in need of new injectors. I get 15 MPG @50mph, consistently (Hawaii diesel is $4.05) I think I should be doing better. In Alaska, fully loaded (9 pass & luggage) going 70 + I got 17-18 MPG. The MPG has slowly gone down to what it is now. Looking for replacements and everything is stock on the truck. Thanks

Go back with stock. Delphi or Bosch. Life of injectors is 80-120K miles. Their performance drops off after that. I won't say you get back all of your milage back (could be other things aging too and not optimum) but you should see some improvement. More you'll feel a little more pep to throttle response and probably a little less smoke on start up and launch.

The nozzle wearing out degrades fuel spray pattern / fuel atomization is the reason why.

How many miles are on your truck, and do you use a fuel conditioner?

If you have a soot trap they get plug up over time and can reduce power and MPG's you might look into replacing it if you have not already. Do this and the injectors.

I'd stay with stock units as well. I sold my Yukon w/6.5 last fall and the injectors had 182,000 miles on them and mileage was still holding at 18.5 - 19 mpg, BUT I ran Stanadyne Performance formula in every tank of fuel and credit that to the long life. You should look closely at the glow plugs and controller - I ran OEM glow plugs (AC60G) and controllers and had no problems starting right up. I found my glow plugs failing around 100k and just replaced them with a full new set.
