Bear with me on this one. None of the shop manuals that I picked up for my 1994 Blazer show the exhaust system and a search of the forum hasn't given me the information I need. A lot on removing or gutting the catalytic converter but not on just where it is or what it looks like.
I'm assuming I have a cat but don't want to start cuttng/gutting until I am sure what is what. On my exhaust it is all pipe except for what I am assuming is the catalytic converter. Casing is a lot more heavy duty than a muffler and it's located just above the transmission cross support for the automatic transmission. If this is the cat then my plan is to try to gut it when I replace the downpipe next week.
