intermitant heavy smoke from LMM

I had recently perchased a NBS 07 with the LMM dmax about 2 months ago. I am about to break 2500 miles. so far 2 times in the past week i had heavy blue/black smoke from the exhaust with a major loss in fuel economy and rough running. the first time was at idle sitting at a light and the second was running at 65 mph with the cruise on. this is my first diesel and i had run the engine at varying speeds and varying loads for the first 1000 miles to break the engine in. so far the truck is still stock. any ideas on the issue??:confused:

Sounds like it could be regen related, but I'd bring it to the attention of your dealer anyway. The regen frequency and intensity is dependent on your driving habits.

make sure you use USLD, if u fueled with LSD that might be the problem, perhaps the station received a load of LSD...

in my area, still less than half the station s are USLD tagged..

the refinery in s jersey is USLD, the 2 in the newark area still LSD.

that was explained to me by a sunoco dealer.. said he get s diesel from both ... auto delivery ...
