Earlier this month, the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) subcommittee on diesel fuel approved a specification for biodiesel blends between six and 20 percent. Biodiesel supporters have struggled for years to obtain this specification. It is hoped that this specification will receive final approval in June 2008 during ASTM's semi-annual meeting.
