Mine is making some pretty nasty sounds and is getting much worse very fast. When it first let let loose I was on the highway in snow cruising about 65 and it sounded like a cv shaft let loose. But after further diagnosis I found it to be the t-case. I can feel a lot of slop in the chain when I grab one driveshaft and turn it. I was curious if anyone here has rebuilt any of these and also what were the common broken parts they found. Also some good places to get rebuild kits etc. Thanks.

You could check here: www.drivetrain.com/transfercasesparts.html (http://www.drivetrain.com/transfercasesparts.html)
Or, a google search turned up this list (http://www.google.com/search?q=263+transfer+case+repair&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1).

Hey thanks for that. I had googled and found the first link. This is probably who I will buy through. Though I am having trouble contacting them to find out who manufactures the bearings used in their kits. I have alot of bearing experience and am very particular about whose stuff I use and whose I dont. Big fan of Timken though plus they are made right here in the states. You gotta love that.
