Engine oil cooler pipes.

Folks,

Since I am replacing the harmonic balancer, pulley, water pump and timing chain and have the grill removed in my (new to me. 210k, '98, 6.5td) and see that there is oil wetness around the pipes, I figured that I should replace them while I am at the above.

I won't buy from the stealership and I can get an auto supply to make them, do I need to remove them completely so that they have a pattern or can they re-crimp them where they are wet?

I ASSume that the really big connectors above the oil filter need to be removed. Is that correct?

Any and all help will most certainly be appreciated.

Search oil cooler lines many stories. Recommend going with one of the Vendor's on here that has a kit for reworking oil cooler lines to ss braid. OE lines are not all that good new. Clips at the block are a marginal design.

I thought that I searched but maybe put in wrong search criteria.

Stainless steel braid is just a covering, right? I wonder what the terminal ends are made of.

Hose ends are screw-in (NPT, I think?) - much, much, much better design.

Diesel Service Group look under gm diesel then click on 65. truck you will find it there.
I personal had mine made at local hose shop and they are SST fraction of the cost how ever mine was on a project i was building so I had time to run around and get the parts. I had like 6 days left before went cross country when I installed the engine. good luck
