Over the last couple of weeks my truck has been having problems starting. I turn on the key wait for the glow plugs and then when I go to turn it over it I can hear the starter click once. I checked the batteries and they are fine. Sometimes if I turn the key off and on it will turn over. Now it won't do anything except click one time. Any suggestions for me on this issue?

Check your electrical connections.
Renew connections at the battery terminals, clean them ALL.
Then remove and re-install the large positive lead to the starter, this can cause a bad contact and do what you describe.
If all these good preventative maintenance procedures don't fix the issue, I'd recommend removing the starter to have it tested.
It's possible that the starter is failing or has failed in the form of a bad solenoid and or brushes and internals in the starter motor.

Ok, I got up this morning and it started right up. Drove like a champ. Could it possibly be in the turning of the key itself.
There's always the possibility of a bad ignition switch.
