According to the seller of a truck (98 Sub with 6.5) at which I'm looking, after Jiffy Lube failed to refill the crankcase, GM replaced it with a

"NEW remanufactured 6.2 Block bored out to 6.5 specs with 6.5 heads and accessories".

Was wondering if anyone had an opinion on using the 6.2 block this way?

Also, supposedly this truck has 336k on the original transmission without any problems... chances of it making many more miles???

thanks

Sorta depends on the block casting number. The 599 blocks could be had with either a 6.2 or a 6.5 bore. If your engine has a one-piece rear main seal you're likely OK.
