Folks, I need the owner's manual and the service manual on my new -to me- 1998 6.5td Silverado.

Does anyone have one or know where I can get one? I already tried eBay.

The manuals do come up on eBay, but you have to watch for awhile. I got my service manuals from a fellow board member on here, but picked up an owner's manual on eBay after watching for a number of weeks.

Mygmlink is a good site for owner's manuals and laymen stuff. For the service manual, you'll have to find/purchase a Helms manual (only Helms, not Chilton, Haynes, etc), or subscribe at www.alldatadiy.com for an online manual. I've used all the above over many years, and find alldata to be the best in many regards.

Yes, I had gone to that site but I didn't find a 1998 manual. It began with '99.

Tried twice now. Once, with Silverado - no dice.
Second with c/k 2500 and it went through however, it said that it wouldn't go through then, "try again later".

I went there and saw that they do have a service manual. I will call them tomorrow and see if it is the same one that Helm's put out for that year but no longer does so.
