I have a old body style 88 dually. It currently has a flat bed on it and it is ugly as sin. I want to put a regular dually bed on it. I think it is the R/V chassis. Will a regular bed fit in it, I had a 1992 dually and for some reason the rear end looked wider then the one in my truck now. I just don't want to purchase a bed and have it not fit or look rediclous. (p.s. i spell so bad that spell check doesn't know what the hell im saying.

Depends on what you have for a dually . The cab and chassis has a narrow rear even though it's a dually . You can 't put your hand in between the springs and the backing plate but in a regular dually you can put your fist in there sideways . Looking for parts ?

Mine's an 88 Chevy R30, and the bed is the same as the 87 and earlier model.

GM downsized their trucks in 88, except for the crewcab, which is why they call the old body style the R/V instead of C/K. No body parts will interchange.
