Hello again.

I am still on the market for a reliable 4x4 diesel suburban.
I found one on Autotrader.com near where i live so i think i will go and seee it.
it is a v2500 4x4 with a 6.2L that has 330,000 miles. The transmission has ben rebuilt but obviously the engine
might have to be replace soon and i was wondering that if i have to replace the engine can i put a 6.5L turbo.
My question is: is it possible to put a complete 6.5L trubo engine in a 1991 SV2500 suburban without any modifications ( meaning removing old engine, replacing it with a new one and that's it !!!) ?

Also, do you know a place which sell complete (turn-in-key engine) 6.5L turbo
engine ( i google the question and got only one result Rhinoengines.com):)

Thank you everyone for helping me in my decision.

Eric

as long as the 6.5 has a mechanical injector pump, yes. you will have to install a electric fuel pump, but thats it.

Eric,

Where do you live? Only asking because I have a '91 Suburban I have been thinking about selling. It has the Banks turbo system on it and only 189,000 miles. Let me know.

Here's a thread that explains what challenges exist when fitting a factory 6.5L turbo system in an 80's body style truck/SUV (http://www.thedieselpageforums.com/tdpforum/showthread.php?t=28047). :)
