Starting Problems

2007 3500 silverado 6.6 duramax. No problems until a week ago. Got in and won't start, towed to dealer and both batteries dead. This Monday same thing, both batteries dead. No lights left on or anything. Anyone ever have this problem?

There's another thread here in this BB (http://www.thedieselpageforums.com/tdpforum/showthread.php?t=29678) about battery drain with the ignition off.

In short, you disconnect the negative cable from each of the two fully charged batteries, then insert an ammeter between one of the battery cables and one of the batteries to determine what the draw is with the ignition off, doors closed, etc.

Then remove and replace each fuse, one at a time, till you find one with a significant draw.
