New Here and I have a 1983 GMC 2500 6.2L

my name is Greg im located in British Columbia, Canada and i own a 1983 GMC 2500 6.2L with 298,000 kms, i believe she is dying, it just started making a ticking sound one day and now it doenst run very good, still runs though, i do have the option to put a newer 6.5L turbo diesel long block for $2800, seems like good pricing and it would be a nice little project,

Welcome Greg! I used to own an '82. Still runs, hard to kill them.
Give us some more details about the noise and describe the rough running.
Maybe someone here can comment on your problems.
