93 ck3500 5spd tow question

Has anyone had any luck towing a 9000# 5th wheel in od my truck won't do it. Runs pretty good in 3rd around 2500 but a little noisie. Any suggestions.

Mine won't go in od if its out of the power rpm range and uphill. Did haul x80 90lb bags of concrete +2000lbs of flatbed trailer. Got up to highway speeds just fine. Big inclines had to go 55-60 mph in 4th around 24-2500 rpms. What upgrades does your 93 run.?

I've got a 94 with 5 speed and pull my fiver 12/13k in 5th, but only level and no head wind or slightly down hill. I can pull Pachecko Pass in 3rd and back out of the pedal just a little.

I'm running 4.10 gears with 285s so my end ratio is right at 3.73.

About the question i.ve got a waste gate controler set at 12 psi, upped the time , airaid intake and duramax fan kit, 3 to 3.5 exhaust, order the fan upgrade, turned up the pump last nite after we got back. I'm probably comparing my 6.5 to my 454 which pulled like a scaled dog.

I dont know how much weight it is but I pulled a 3 car heavy trailer with 1 84 firebird 1 93 escort and 1 99 ford F250 with the 7.3 and I was able to maintain 65ish in 5th this is with 265 75 16 tires. that pic is the avatar I have.
