Looks almost too good to be true!?
Can someone with experience tell us the difference between this reader, and the $300 ones I have seen elsewhere?
Example used Snap-On:

Can I assume the more expensive can be used to modify some parameters like tire size, etc. where the readers simply pull codes???

Mark, I'm sure the snap on is a better product. If I was a professional mechanic I would go for the best, but for the shade tree mechanic like myself, who is not going to be using it everyday, it makes sense. I've used it already and it seems to work the way it's supposed to. If I was to take my truck to a mechanic for one diagnostics check I'm sure I would have paid double what it cost for this and now when my SES light comes on, or my wifes, I can do my own checks. For that price I don't think you can go wrong.

Agreed. Its a great price, and I'd like to be able to check codes before the service department does!

I bought one of these myself several months ago. Works great for the codes that cause the SES light to come one, but not the hidden codes that do not activate the light. Def. a good price though.

How do we tap into the memory and get those hidden codes?
