Hello all.I have a 2004 2500 Chevy.6.6L.It has the engine light on.Scanned it P0202.It has around 200K on it.The dealer tells me its out of warranty. Are they known to give injector trouble in 04?Which cyl is#2?Any suggestion on whether or not a Fuel Injection Shop could fix them?Or buy new from dealer or Bosch? It is an LLY engine.

Injector problems on the LLY is not as common as the LB7. The P0202 is for cylinder #2.

Are you sure the injector connector is good? Especially on #2 cyl and it's an LLY. Does it run rough, with barely any acceleration? Just a thought...

I know P0202 is #2.Which cyl on the engine is #2?Yes it does run rough and sluggish on accelleration. To me it sounds like it's possibly getting air.

The Duramax lly in 04-05 has issues with injector harness being pulled to tight and causing an open circuit.this cauaes the engine to shut down 4 of 8 cylinders and setting codes.there is an update harness kit with new brackets to reroute injector connector #2 and #7,contact your dealer for these parts.the last one i sold was approx.$220.00.the part number is 98017958.Hope this helps.:cool:Pete

The Duramax cylinder order is opposite that of traditional GM V engines. It's easy to figure out, really. Look at the engine at the front. The forward-most head will have #1, which is the passenger (US) side on the Duramax. The odd bank is the RH side of the engine. Driver/LH side is the even bank. #2 is the forward-most cylinder on the driver's side.

I would like to thank everone for their help/advice,the wiring harness kit solved it.The GM dealer's in Canada are not always real helpfull nor cheap that harness kit is 437.50cdn:mad:.But I guess it's not going to work so swell without it.Anyway thank you to all.Jim:)
